Local news needs
local support.
Phoenix News is an independent, locally owned newsroom covering breaking news and community stories across Phoenix and the Valley. Being there matters. So does having the equipment to capture what happens clearly.
Your support helps fund camera and broadcast equipment upgrades: sharper footage, clearer audio and a better-equipped mobile newsroom.
Real priorities. No pretend progress.
Equipment budgets and funding totals have not been confirmed. We aren't displaying a fundraising target, progress bar or purchased status until those figures can be verified.
Equipment imagery is illustrative, not a record of gear purchased or owned.

What does my support help fund?
This fundraiser supports camera and broadcast equipment upgrades for independent Phoenix metro reporting. The priorities above describe equipment categories, not confirmed purchases. Models, costs and purchase decisions are not finalized here.
Is this a monthly subscription?
No. This page is for one-time donations. Phoenix News+ is a separate membership; a donation does not enroll you or unlock subscriber-only features.
Do I need an account?
No account or subscription is required. A display name and a message to the newsroom are optional. You can also choose to donate anonymously.
How do I know my payment went through?
PayPal handles the payment and provides its confirmation. Phoenix News checks payment status with the provider before recording a completed donation. Opening checkout alone is not a completed payment.
Are donations tax-deductible?
No charitable tax-deductibility is claimed on this page. Do not assume your contribution is deductible; consult your tax adviser about your circumstances.
Can I support with Venmo?
Yes. The “Continue to Venmo” button opens the Phoenix News Venmo page in a new tab. That link does not carry your amount, so enter and confirm the amount yourself in Venmo before sending. Venmo completes that payment separately; Phoenix News does not receive card or bank details and cannot confirm a Venmo payment from this page.
